Appointments & Practice Logistics

Consultations take place at 93A Farnsworth St, Castlemaine. Telehealth video appointments are also available for clients located anywhere in Australia.
-
Standard individual consultations are priced at $180. If you have a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your GP, you can receive a Medicare rebate of $101.55 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
-
We require at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made with short notice may incur a cancellation fee. (Note: Medicare and private health insurance do not cover late cancellation fees).
-
You should check directly with your health fund to confirm your specific level of cover, but many funds do offer rebates for psychological consultations. We do not have HICAPS to process refunds at the clinic; however, once your session is paid for, we will send you an itemised invoice that you can submit to your health fund for claiming. (Please note: You cannot claim both a Medicare rebate and a Private Health Insurance rebate for the same session).
-
No, you do not need a referral to see a psychologist as a private client. However, if you wish to claim Medicare rebates under the Better Access scheme, you will need a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) and referral letter from your GP prior to your first session.

Not at all. While dream work is a component of analytical psychology, it is completely fine if you don't recall any dreams prior to your first meeting. Simply bring along any questions or main topics you would like to discuss.
-
The first session is a structured opportunity to explore what brings you to therapy, review your background history, and establish your goals. It allows us to determine if my therapeutic approach is the right fit for your needs.
